WELCOME TO
Ceridwen Glass
Ceridwen (pronounced "ke-rid-wen") is a Welsh name that means "fair, blessed poetry." The name has ancient Celtic origins and is associated with artistic expression and spiritual significance.
Ceridwen is also the Welsh goddess of rebirth, inspiration, and transformation. These are the qualities and themes I aim to create in my work. I hope you enjoy my site.
Artist Statement
Oftentimes, when I begin a new piece of art, the final version is nothing like I had originally envisioned when I first set out. Rather, I let the glass guide me and the final image is born by pushing the boundaries of both my kiln and the glass as well as my own creativity. I am merely an instrument, fusing layers of glass, enamel and vitreous paint, not stopping until a moment or feeling has been captured.

Stained Glass Restoration
In addition to designing and building new windows, I have also repaired and restored stained glass windows. Before and after photos are always fun to look at. Below I thought I would showcase a few restoration projects I have worked on.
The most ambitious project that I was fortunate to be part of was the Salvaged Sanctuary. My clients gutted and restored an abandoned church in South Buffalo and turned it into their stunning dream home. Out of the 23 stained glass windows, I restored 16 of them. Due to moisture, fire damage, paint and neglect, the decision was made to relead many of them.
Another client purchased a victorian home in Buffalo with a large window along the staircase. While the transom was still in tact, he only found a busted up section of the bottom window. I was able to repair that window to match the transom; in addition I recreated the top section from scratch.
